Security Risk Assessment

An ISO 31000 assessment of a site, an operation or an event. Threat, vulnerability and impact are assessed separately, then scored on a five by five matrix so two assessments can be compared. Every finding carries a treatment, an owner and a stated residual risk.

What does it cost?

Fixed scope, fixed price, agreed before anything starts. Price depends on the destination, the threat environment and how much of the work already exists, so it is quoted after a 30-minute scope call.

How quickly can you turn work around?

A destination threat assessment is 48 hours as standard. A travel risk management plan depends on scope and environment, and the delivery date is agreed on the scope call before you commit.

We already use a security vendor. Where do you fit?

Usually on your side of the table. A good deal of my work is independent challenge of providers a client already pays for. Are the standards real, is the assurance evidenced, is the spend proportionate.

Do you provide close protection teams?

I design, scope and oversee protective programmes and hold vendors to a standard. I am not a manpower supplier, and staying independent of the guarding spend is what makes the oversight worth having.

Why does a security consultancy run school and community sessions?

Situational awareness, personal safety, online exposure and knife crime avoidance are decision skills. They are better taught by someone who has had to make those decisions. It runs alongside the corporate work.

Is this only for high-threat markets?

No. The same gaps turn up in Paris as in Lagos. The trip is booked, the insurance is in place, and nobody has agreed who makes the call when it goes wrong.
